Hyzer, Ph.D., D-IBFES, is an independent forensic engineering sciences consultant, researcher, and expert witness specializing in forensic imaging and the forensic application of analytical and experimental mechanics. Since 1991 he has testified as an expert witness in US federal, civil, immigration, and military courts in numerous states throughout the United States.

Forensic Imaging: visibility and conspicuity analysis and reconstruction; low-light-level visibility; photometry/illumination; forensic photogrammetry; analysis, interpretation, and enhancement of evidentiary photographs and electronic images; scientific imaging and photography.
